Keywords that find buyers
People rarely type your category name. They describe their problem. Search for phrases like these, swapping in your category:
| Phrase | What it usually means |
|---|---|
recommend, any suggestions | Actively choosing a tool now |
alternative to + competitor | Unhappy with a competitor; the most valuable threads |
looking for a tool, is there an app | Has the problem, doesn't know the options |
too expensive, cheaper | Price-sensitive buyers; lead with your pricing |
how do you + task | Early stage; answer helpfully without pitching |
Before you reply to anything you find
- Read the rules panel. Many subreddits only allow promotion in a weekly thread, or not at all.
- Check the date. Replying to a thread that is years old looks like spam; use old threads for research instead.
- Reply from your own, named account and say you make the product. Help first; link only if it answers the question. Our participation policy has the full checklist.
Doing this every week for every subreddit in your market takes hours. Our $20 lead discovery does it once across all of them and sends you the 30 best threads.
Data comes from Arctic Shift, a free public archive of Reddit. Your browser asks the archive directly; RedditQuora does not store your searches or the results.
FAQ
How do I search Reddit comments by keyword?
Enter a subreddit and a keyword above and choose Comments. The tool lists every archived comment in that subreddit that contains the keyword, newest first, with links back to each thread. Reddit's own search mostly returns posts.
Can I search all of Reddit at once?
Not by keyword: the archive only supports keyword search inside a subreddit or a user's history, because searching every comment on Reddit at once is too heavy. Run the search in each relevant subreddit, or let us do it across your whole market with lead discovery.
Why did my search time out?
Very large subreddits have millions of comments. Pick a shorter time range, use a more specific phrase, or try a smaller related community.
Does it support exact phrases or excluding words?
Yes. Put a phrase in double quotes for an exact match, and put a minus sign before a word to exclude it, for example "crm" -salesforce.
Is it free?
Yes, with no sign-up. It runs on a free public archive, so please search at a normal human pace.
